-
Economy
Value
Cheap, easy motoring.
Costs
Vauxhall engines generally hold up well, so servicing is quite cheap.
-
On the road
Driving
Nice in a straight pull from the lights, but leaves a bit to be desired as it wallows through the corners.
Performance
Good up to 70ish, then starts to lack a bit of go. Fast out of the blocks.
-
Living with it
Reliability
has never broken down, but most suffer from engine idle problems, valve needs cleaning/replaceing often, or you'll be stalling at the lights!
Image
it may be an astra, but the gsi bodykit and alloys gives it a fresh look
Comfort
GSI seats help, but roly poly ride doesn't.
-
Security and Service
Security
Central locking and vaux's own immobiliser, but get a cat1 for insurance.
Service
bit pricey sometimes from main dealer, but cheapo from locals

The blue pearlescent on my astra looks the nuts!
