Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I wanted a practical, fun car that didn't cost the earth and didn't shout out 'boy-racer'.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone seems to like it for its space, refinement and styling. They also say thats its more grown-up and sensible than the old BMWs that I usually buy!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Its done everything that I have asked of it.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly another Astra 1.8 or Turbo-diesel, although I'm still tempted by BMW!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Surprisingly quick for a 1.8. Can happily compete with the Beemers and Audis in the outside lane. Sporty handling and steering with plenty of grip. Brakes only average though. A good drivers car for the price.
What's it like to park?
Not bad. The turning circle is acceptable and rear visibility is OK.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
There is an ECU glitch which was fixed under warranty. It later returned, but doesn't cause enough problems to warrant repairing. Other than that, no problems whatsoever.
What's most practical about your car?
Big, well-shaped boot, decent amount of rear acccomodation, reliable and refined.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Steering wheel stereo controls.
