Summary
What does this car say about you?
It has a big spoiler in the back, Irmscher no less. This makes me look like a bit of a "chav". But with nice alloys and silver paint, it doesn't look half bad.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
A decent runabout, and being a Vauxhall, I get enough banter.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I am a very big fan of warm and hot hatches. So yes, I will consider buying a car of this class again. But with more poke.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hot hatch or Coupe of the same size, VXR, ST, Renaultsport, that kind of thing.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Being the "SRi" spec, it actually is a bit more taught and stiff than the normal Astra counterpart. It handles brilliantly thanks to it's Hydro-Electric steering, the electronic throttle gives pin point throttle response, and it rides comfortably when on long trips. It is a bit crashy and bumpy when driving on back roads, but that isn't helped by the UK's poor road conditions.
What's it like to park?
Being an Astra, very easy. If you can't park this, don't drive near towns.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Thermostat, Manifold Gasket, Wheel Bearing.
What's most practical about your car?
Being a family hatchback, big boot, nice rear legroom to carry friends, and the driving position is superb.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise Control! Sometimes I feel lazy, and just let it go on auto-pilot. The seats are very comfortable as well.
