Economy
Value
Good value, although new Astra is pushing value down on this car.
Costs
Fuel consumption around 28-30mpg round town. 38 - 40mpg average on motorway at 80mph. Insurance typically high.

On the road
Driving
Sport suspension keeps it stuck to the road. Gets frisky when the Turbo cuts in. Good direct steering and 380mm brake discs stop very nicely!
Performance
Awesome! Power to weight ratio high in comparison to other vehices. Ecotech engine just keeps pulling. It could do with a 6-speed box to get the best out of it though.

Living with it
Reliability
A few niggles with the Vauxhall stereo which required two replacements (under warranty). Car itself is very reliable.
Image
It looks mean and has the performance to live up to the image. Not many of them on the road so always a head turner.
Comfort
Part leather Recaro seats with lumbar support grip nicely. Back seats too, are comfortable and roomy. Standard tyres are noisy. Eagle F1's are best. Ride is very sporty without being too hard.

Security and Service
Security
Standard Vauxhall toys keep the thieves at bay. Not an easy car to break into!
Service
Bicknells Worcester are fantastic both with Finance, sales and service.
