Economy
Value
Bought second hand, nothing can touch the Astra for this sort of money.
Costs
Not bad, but make sure you play the Vauxhall dealers off against each other for servicing costs!

Driving
Firm set up is the pay-off for great grip and poised handling when you're chucking it around corners.
Performance
Engine is smooth and flexible.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far (touch wood).
Image
Doesn't stand out from the hot hatch crowd, which isn't always a bad thing. You can take some of these boy racers by surprise.
Comfort
I'm 6' 2" and have no problems with the driving position. My only complaint is that although the steering wheel is height and rake adjustable, the amount of movement it offers isn't that generous.
