Value
Bought from main dealer second hand, 6 months old, with remainder of 3 year warranty, thus avoiding bad depreciation and saving £4.5K from new.
Costs
Only servicing costs. Dealer in Derby seems good.

Driving
Love driving this car. Gear box much improved over old Astra, but still not class leading.
Performance
Handles really well. Lotus have done a good job on chassis. The engine is very smooth throughout and loves to rev. Performance doesn't really kick in till over 3500rpm, then it goes!

Living with it
Reliability
Good so far, apart from annoying sqeaky sound from breaks when going really slow. Fixed under warranty.
Image
Plenty of street cred, even though it's a Vauxhall. Dull inside.
Comfort
Can get very good driving position, with plenty of adjustment on very comfortable seat and steering wheel. Suspension is quite stiff, but I like this.

Security and Service

Alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks.
Service
Pentagon Vauxhall in Derby seem to be a good main dealer.
