What does this car say about you?

Probably aging, but very capable (IAM graduate) lady driver.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Not terribly bothered. They probably wonder why I have kept it so long when they change theirs about every 2 to 3 years.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely. It hasn't given me a day of worry and has never failed its MOT because I have it serviced according to the book.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably a Vauxhall Meriva because it is slightly higher for my ailing and arthritic husband to get into.

Did you get a good deal and why?

He buys cars from auction to order so there are no hidden forecourt costs. It seemed a reasonable price for only 6k on the mileage.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Had an Astra before and was pleased with the performance and the cost of maintenance. Also I know which side the sticks are on the steering wheel!

What was the dealer like?

I felt that he was very honest.

What's it like to drive?

Cruises very well even on motorway. I neither want nor expect high speed. Only on the rarest of occasions have I gone above 70 and then to accelerate out of trouble which it does well.

What's it like to park?

Easy. I usually reverse park.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Ignition bar failed.. Water pipe split.

What's most practical about your car?

Good size for carrying passengers, even in the back seat there is ample leg room for adults.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Not really into gadgets and it doesn't really have any except the electric windows and air con (too expensive to use).
