Independent

No

£6,800

Did you get a good deal and why?
Not particularly. I think I've paid a bit too much for the 30 000 mileage the car had on the clock.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It's better looking than it's rivals.
What was the dealer like?
The dealership was a bit scruffy.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's a decent drive. The handling is good. Engine is punchy, but it needs revs. Braking can be better. Power steering is a bit heavy at parking speeds. Clutch & gearbox is rubbish. One-touch indicators/wipers are rubbish. It's thirsty for a 1.6 (I get about 30mpg in city traffic).
What's it like to park?
Not the easiest car to park as visibility to the rear is restricted by small rear window and big c-pillars. The power steering is heavy during parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The clutch juddered when it was cold. Clutch & flywheel was replaced under warranty. Clutch now judders slightly when the car is warm. Indicator stalk is dodgy - signal cancels immediately when the car is cold. Gear changes sometimes stiff and crunches when changing to 2nd at low revs. Rear hatch rattles.
What's most practical about your car?
I can tell you what is NOT practical. There's VERY little storage room in the cabin. It has door pockets and a decent sized cubby-hole, but other than that it lacks in cabin storage.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The steering wheel controls are nice.
