Vauxhall Astra Hatchback (2015 - 2021) SRi VX-Line 1.4i Turbo 150PS 5d Owner Review

Great combination of performance (especially when sport mode is on), handling, economy (can’t believe the MPG returns are so good as I do enjoy driving it briskly), spaciousness, equipment levels, style. Need I go on? Minor niggles - not much. Ride is slightly harsh on 225/40x19” tyres, but since the handling and road holding are more important to me it’s a small trade-off. Apple Car Play can be temperamental at times. Not sure if it’s connection issues or software glitches, but it sometimes hangs. Silly little groove in front centre console not much good for anything except a small pencil. Won’t even hold my sunglasses. Overall a great little car that shows how far technology has advanced the petrol engine in recent years. Lane Keep Assist is a great piece of kit for a car of this class. Hadn’t owned a Vauxhall since my first car in 1975. Would certainly recommend this car to anyone.
