Vauxhall Astra Hatchback (2015 - 2021) SRi VX-Line 1.4i Turbo 150PS 5d Owner Review

In their own words
In many ways its a very good car. Bought as a pre reg, effectively new car, it was very good value for money at £6000 under list price. The quality is good, its good to drive, and very powerful for a 1.4 petrol 0-60 7.4sec 134mph top speed. However there are some glaring deficiencies. Things that should never have been released on this car. 1) forward collision notification - flashes up on the screen when it thinks you are about to hit something - very very erratic. 2) automatic wipers - unpredictable. 3) automatic lights - a mind of their own often comes on in broad daylight, and there is no manual override. 4) Lane wandering notification and correction - simply does not work.
And for a car with a £23,000 list price the omission of any kind of rear parking sensors is amazing, and an optional extra of £600 to rectify that doesn't impress me. Gadgets don't really impress me so I still like the car for its feel and performance, but next time I might investigate the minor points more thoroughly. If I had one wish, I'd disable that forward collision device its abysmal.
