In their own words
Good in a lot of areas, but flawed in too many others to be classed as outstanding. Pros - Good blend of economy and Performance ( 125bhp turbo 1.4) Practical and spacious Reliable, except for one or two niggles Plenty of tech. Options ( mine was the nav . Version with sat nav.cruise, bluetooth etc.) Modern and smart looking ( in my opinion) Handling and ride have a good balance between comfort and sportiness. Wife likes it ( most important)
Cons Front seats must have been sourced from the " cheap seats company" very thin padding ,very uncomfortable if you have a bad back. Lots of solid black plastic on the interior, which means lots of creaks and squeaks. Clutch pedal is made from plastic ,which means (you've guessed it ) lots of creaks and squeaks. Steering is the typical electric type set up.great for parking ,but very imprecise on the motorway. Engine has this strange habit of hesitating if you floor it in too high a gear.( yes I know the gear indicator will tell you to change down, but I prefer to keep my eyes on the road ,thank you) Refinement is an odd mix of hushed ambience, spoilt by intrusions, depending on the road surface.
