Vauxhall Calibra 2.0i 16V 3d (LT) (1996/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought the car nearly 3 years ago for £4k, still reckon its worth that! Especially with only 83k on the clock and the high spec list: full leather, electric sunroof and windows, and heated mirrors.
Costs
Cavalier parts are so cheap if bought from a motor factor, and most jobs can easily be done by yourself.

On the road
Driving
Lovely to drive, but a bit tail happy and tends to slide if you drive it a bit hard, even after being lowered 85mm!
Performance
Great performance for a 2.0 NA, but turbo would be brilliant!
-
Living with it
Reliability
Not had too many problems, apart from the usual water pump nearly blowin engine up at 140mph on the M6!
Image
everyone loves it! Even my mate who's a diehard blue oval fan!
Comfort
Comfy as hell! Glad I've got the leather, comfiest car! Even comfier than my A3.

Security and Service
Security
Had drivers side windows smashed and stereo nabbed because someone had switched the interior monitor function of the alarm off, but apart from that it's good.
Service
Done all servicing myself, wouldn't pay Vauxhall dealer prices!
