Vauxhall Calibra 2.0i 16V 3d (1995/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Bought it 6 yrs ago - still can't find a car to compare it to for the money, find it hard to let go!
Costs
Day-to day costs are reasonable, my clutch just imploded & cost me nearly £400 to sort out, paid it with gritted teeth! - it's first fault since i bought it which can't be bad eh?

On the road
Driving
Very comfortable, especially solid on the motorway, handling could be improved so i put on tighter springs from the turbo - seemed to sort it nicely.
Performance
Still impresses me, runs great on shell optimax - embarrased a few boy racers in my time, still challenges the BMW driving reps on the M1 - makes me smile.

Living with it
Reliability
Apart from the above, nice & reliable.
Image
Although its getting on abit, i still get admiring glances (only when its clean)
Comfort
Comfy seats, quite roomy, good sized boot too
-
Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm & transponder ok, i upgraded to a clifford total closure due to the dodgy area i used to live in!
Service
No problems, knowledgable service staff.
