Well made, nice looking, ultra reliable and loads of kit.
Costs
So relaible but are cheap to fix very easy to work on this strong engine.

Soggy handling lets car down, as does grip.
Performance
Low down torque like a deisel; no point in revving to redline as on 16v, but not that quick. A1 MPG, though.
