Vauxhall Calibra 1990-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

£7.5K for a £23.K car is not bad in only 4 years.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

It is a 2.5 litre, so petrol is drunk, especially around town.

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fun and easy to drive, despite high speed jinks capability.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

As stated before, gearing too long. Get a 6-speed conversion. 0-62 in 7.1s is pretty good for 170BHP.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

My experience in 9 months; new alternator, central locking processor, n/s elec window knackere and original stereo eats cds!

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Definitely gets looks (especially with mods). Still holds it own amongst newer (heavier) Coupes.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Front seats are fantastic. Rear seats cannot get a 6-footer in and sit upright, but more room than most.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

Dunno. About standard. Contacted Clifford as soon as I decided to by it (too many scumbags about).

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Only thing I bought from Vauxhall was paint, becuase it costs £13.00 from Halford's for 400ml.
