Vauxhall Cavalier Hatchback 2.0i CDX 16V 5d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
I paid £150 for it to take it away, I do not think i'm going to lose much more.
Costs
I hade a duck fit when I hade to replace the back box £70. Also because its a Vectra ecotec engine inside a Cavalier, the price of engine parts are about 15% more expensive than if you were buying for a Vectra for whatever reason. Economy is very good.

On the road
Driving
It's a Cavalier there are better cars out there and there is a lot worse.
Performance
The 16 valve engine gives it more mid range power, but is still outperfomed by most rivals.

Living with it
Reliability
I bought it after it was stood on somebody's drive for 8 months as a project for myself. 1 new light bulb and a mot and i'm bored (bullet proof)
Image
Certainly not a pulling car, but it does the job you want it to do.
Comfort
Can't fault it, they went backwards with the Vectra, which always gave me backache after 20 miles, don't fix it if it aint broke.

Security and Service
Security
It dosen't need it, not the most wanted car on the theives books, however deadlocks and immobiliser make it difficult to steal.
Service
Never go to Vauxhall unless you are tied in with warranty, go to independent garage- far, far cheaper.
