Vauxhall Cavalier Hatchback 2.0i SRi Cat 5d (1993/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Value for money excellent! Just sold my beloved SRi for £1,240 with only 48,253 on the clock. The bloke got a bargain!
Costs
Parts are cheap and servicing costs low, but watch for vented discs! Genuine Vauxhall vented front discs very expensive!

On the road
Driving
Firm ride. Bit choppy round the doors, but hugs road well on motorways. Also great handling for raking round country roads!
Performance
Could not be better! Fitted a K&N 57i air filter and full Scorpion Monza exhaust! Not much could touch this one!

Living with it
Reliability
One of the Best!
Image
Still looks sexy and one of the best around to date. Side skirts and big bumpers! As the Reverend Bob says - CMON!
Comfort
Bucket seats in front firm but comfortable.
-
Security and Service
Security
Factory immobilisers not that good, as you can get around them via the petrol pump at the rear, so fit a good Cobra alarm/imobiliser!

Problems and Ownership

Engine
Big, growly and not very refined, but go like **** off a stick!
