Vauxhall Cavalier Saloon 1.6 4d (1993/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
In good nick. Bought for £1300 with 72k. Does what I want it to do.
Costs
Superb on fuel if you stick to the motorway. Starts to slip around town, though.

Driving
Doesn't set my world on fire, but is in no way a nasty car to drive.
Performance
Quite perky with just you in the car, but starts to struggle as the rest of the seats get occupied.

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing gone wrong yet (touch wood!)
Image
It's a practical family car, not a poser mobile. The SRi spec model is the Max-Power mobile in this model range. Metallic paint is nicer on this than previous matt finishes, in my opinion.
Comfort
Nice seats. Could do with lumbar support adjustment, though. Smooth ride!

Security and Service
Security
Central locking, engine immobiliser and Deadlocks!!
Service
Bought second hand from a bloke in Auto-Trader.
