Vauxhall Cavalier Saloon 2.0i SRi Cat 4d (1994/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good, cheap, semi-performance vehicle.
Costs
As it is an Ecotec. Cambelt and other parts are slightly more expensive.

On the road
Driving
Good drive. Grips fairly well.
Performance
Comfortably beats 323, as long as you drive it properly.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Good. Camshaft problems since the car was first bought.
Image
Not trendy. Has the Sales Rep image, but does the job.
Comfort
Good for long distances in front. Slightly cramped in back if you are a six footer.
-
Security and Service
Security
No probs with alarm and immobiliser (both factory fitted). Deadlock system in boot failed.
Service
Fairly quick, but for a run of the mill dealer, very expensive. Would advise going privately to almost half the price or DIY.
