Summary
What does this car say about you?
Probably that I was a new driver without much money.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They didn't really have much to say about it as it was what it was, a cheap first car that got me from A to B.
Would you buy this car again and why?
My following car after this was actually another of the same Corsas but a 1.4 sport version.
What are you likely to buy next?
After this car I got a Corsa B 1.4 sport.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,000
When did you buy the car?
October 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think I got a fair deal really. The car was in good condition and was an ideal first car in most aspects. I got a years MOT and tax thrown in there too.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was my first car so needed one that was cheap to buy and to insure.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was quite friendly and helpful and lowered the price by £200 from the original £1200 asking price. I wasn't pressured or anything and he didn't keep watch as I looked over the car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The car was ok to drive around town but really struggled to get up to motorway speeds, or anything above 50 really! Being a 1 litre with only 54bhp it could really struggle with steep hills or moment when acceleration was needed, such as pulling out at junctions or roundabouts. The car was quite rough and bumpy, even on what would appear to be smooth roads and was very noisy at high speeds.
What's it like to park?
The car was very easy to park. It was small and had good visibility all round.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
During the years I had the car, nothing ever really went wrong with it. It failed its MOT on things like worn tyres, wiper blades, bulbs broken and stuff. The car did have one intermittent problem with the car stalling itself. The revs would just randomly drop so low that the car would stall and would take some starting again. This seemed to be one of those problems that never occured when I was trying to show it someone.
What's most practical about your car?
The car was very practical as it was small, so could fit through small gaps and was very easy to park. It was fairly spacious for a small 3 door hatchback and with the back seats folded flat could carry quite a load.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
This car literally had no gadgets or optional extras. I think the breeze range was the entry level model and literally had nothing on it! It had manual windows, no remote central locking, no ABS, a tape player, everything you wouldn't want really.
