Summary
What does this car say about you?
I still got the same car!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My friends all seem amazed I still got it, considering they've all upgraded their cars now to modern fiestas etc and 1.4/1.6 cars. My mum drove it once, she didn't say a lot. My Dad has never driven it, and I don't think he wants too. My Stepdad still thinks its an awful car and should have never bought it in the first place.
Would you buy this car again and why?
The only model I would go for is the 1.4 16v sport or an original 1.6 16v gsi. Maybe a low millage 1.5td? Other than those models, no never again.
What are you likely to buy next?
I'm in the stage where i don't care what it is, as I got to get another car soon. I quite like the Vauxhall Astra MK3 with a 1.4 engine for cheaper tax. Or uhhh.. something that has M.O.T and Tax.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It still chugs along, engine is slowly getting worse with the worn timing chain, and it definitely doesn't sound as healthy when warmed up. Before this happened though, the engine was it's usually self, rattly, nippy and reliable. The suspension is getting bouncier and it comes to the point when even doing 30mph round a large bend is a challenge for the car to take.
What's it like to park?
No power steering, but i've done over 3 years of parking with it since passing my test. It just seems to get easier and easier.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Since my last review, a fair few things have gone wrong. I had corrosion near the rear axle, which had to be welded, only to find out that my rear brakes need to be repaired sometime in the future. But the problem that has ended up me looking for another car is that the timing chain has worn out, its worn out so much that my engine management light has stayed permanently on! It still runs though... just.
What's most practical about your car?
As with all my reviews on this car, it's got to be the good space, rear legroom and big boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
What gadget? Uhh, maybe the clock is handy to check the time while driving?
