Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback 1.2 Merit 5d (1996/P) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
You don't even get a glove box with some, you get an engine and 4 tiny wheels.
Costs
The 4 speed petrol would drink any alcoholic under the table.
-
On the road
Driving
Ice skating sized tyres don't give you confidence. Arnold Schwarzenegger would struggle with steering and don't get me started on the gearbox filled with sponge.
Performance
A moped could overtake me, 45bhp for a 1.2 is shameful.

Living with it
Reliability
Always starts, doesn't seem to want to give up the fight.
Image
5 door corsa! Looks like an estate crushed between a vice with the normal bland Vauxhall image.
Comfort
In the front not too bad, in the back its more comfortable in the boot. Book an appointment with the chiropractor for those long journeys.

Security and Service
Security
May as well be a convertible.
