Economy
Value
I've not had to replace anything major in the 2 years I've had it. Compares well to Fords etc of similar age.
Costs
Cheap to drive, maintain, buy and insure.

On the road
Driving
Doesn't like corners too much, especially when wet, but mostly an enjoyable drive.
Performance
It's a 1.4, it pushes well for a 1.4, however 16v models are smoother and quicker than the 8v.

Living with it
Reliability
It's started every time, however starting to show signs of rust.
Image
Now quite dated compared to modern cars, but still very common.
Comfort
The sports style seats are nice if they are still firm, but stop giving as much support over time, long drives are easy. Adjustable seats accomodate bigger drivers.

Security and Service
Security
Fit an alarm and an immobiliser as soon as you can and make use of the deadlocks. Very easy to get into due to weak doors.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Engine is reliable, 16v models have problems with cambelt and both engines seem to suffer from premature gasket wear, probably due to the sporty nature of the car.
Other
The car is not designed to handle the power the SRi and Sport model engines give and this shows in the handling when driving hard.
