Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback 1.4i Montana 5d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Average, which just sums up this car.
Costs
Insurance was cheap at the time of buying, but bigger and better cars are available in same group. Thirsty on the petrol if driven hard.
-
On the road
Driving
Nippy off the lights. Other than that, very bland, especially the steering.
Performance
You get what you pay for. Fine at low speeds, sluggish if you want to go faster.

Living with it
Reliability
Has always got me to work, although lots of little 'niggley' problems.
Image
The 5dr is a bit of an old person's car. Corsa looking dated now.
Comfort
Driver's seat way too high, offset stearing wheel and pedals. Not nice on a long journey.

Security and Service
Service
Bought from a Skoda dealer with 3 month warranty problems were fixed without hassle. Very nice people. I doubt it would be the same from Vauxhall.
