December 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Felt it was reasonable at the time-was p/x ing a car with high mileage and engine mount issues-got an ok price for it.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Just divorced-reliving second youth! could never afford to insure high insurance group cars when I was younger.
What was the dealer like?
rather amatuerish-particularly aftersales. got a pre-purchase ispection but didnt do any of the things recommended- including fixing the oil leak around the camshaft seal.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Whilst accelaration and power were good-handling was less good-rather poor in fact. Raised a few eyebrows in the BMW/Volvo fraternity when I was not only keeping up with them but overtaking on the motorway-and that was complete with Jersey "J"plates!
What's it like to park?
Easy to park-small car

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes-loads initially-wiring harness was faulty, which destroyed the ECU-would have cost £1000- luckily the car was still under warranty. The EGR valave was quite pricey-£120. Never really got rid of the camshaft issue-in fact now requires replacement.
What's most practical about your car?
Not bad room for the age/size of the car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Power stearing heavier than most other vehicles (Ive driven an identical car-it was the same)- but you always seemed to "know where you were" with the car-felt like you were driving a car.
