Lucky to fit a N reg in white local. And they love it!

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wish i had bought one when it was new, but they stopped making them in 1995, i passed my test in 2000 and couldnt get insured until 2002.

What are you likely to buy next?

I bought a Renault 5 GT Turbo after that! Loads of fun!

Did you get a good deal and why?

Paid £5500 at the time which was the going rate. But to find an N reg 1995? One of the last off the Vauxhall line was great! Even in the colour i wanted! White!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted one ever since i passed my test at 17. I could never get insured. Very attractive car and not many around.

What was the dealer like?

Excellent. I part exchanged my R reg 1.4 Sport with only 28,000 on the clock to buy this, a 1995 with 63,000 on the clock! Was i mad!? And i had to pay £1000! It was a very nice car.

What's it like to drive?

0-60 was 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 121mph. It wasnt a world beater, but it had all the toys.

What's it like to park?

Easy

Have you had any problems with the car?

I had it 1 year and 6 months. Loads went wrong. EGR valve, track rod end, ABS kept on cutting in when coming to a stop, Failed an MOT on emissions, engine kept cutting out when the car was ideling, which Vauxhall couldnt fix or find out why it did it! That car cost me about £1000 in the time i owned it. No joke. Fragile but rare and attractive.

What's most practical about your car?

It was rare and everyone looked at it. It was pure white and was stunning when it was clean.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The GSi bodykit was perfect. Curves everywhere. Lush!
