What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 33 - 54 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

1.0i, 1.2i and diesels are very frugal indeed, each comfortably returning over 40mpg. Servicing and parts are cheap for the Corsa, too. Insurance groups are very competitive, too, especially for the smaller engine models: making Corsa a perfect proposition for young, first time drivers.
Should not give serious problems if correctly maintained especially with recent improvements. Sticking valves have been known to cause engine cut-outs on a few 1.4 engines. Some owners reporting problems with loose and rattling trim – especially with older cars.
