Economy
Value
I bought mine for £5k when a year old.
Costs
Reasonable fuel economy around town (40 mpg), I've never needed any spares other than brakes and air filters.
-
On the road
Driving
Fairly smooth to drive.
Performance
Reasonable. The engine is smooth and flexible, and quiet up to about 60 mph.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Never let me down. Poor warm starter. Good exterior build quality - the panels feel reassuringly substantial and the car still looks like new when cleaned and polished.
Image
We like it.
Comfort
Okay in front, seats very firm, quite cramped in the back. I'd buy the five door next time. Very basic cabin, no air con or other creature comforts. Hard plastics abound, annoying intermittent rattles on poor road surfaces.

Security and Service
Security
Unsurprisingly, no-one's ever tried to nick it.
Service
Never needed it. Car serviced at local garages.
