Economy
Value
Managed to get the price down to £7995 with a lot of haggling.
Costs
A bit thirsty on long journeys, otherwise quite cheap to run.

On the road
Driving
In standard form, the handling isn't the best and the steering is lifeless, although I have now uprated my suspension and now it handles like its on rails.
Performance
Below 3000rpm, it's like the engine isn't there and then above 3000rpm it really starts to pull. Power below 3000rpm can be improved using a sports air filter and a cat-back exhaust.

Living with it
Reliability
Only needs steering rack replaced, which is a common probelm on the early Corsa Cs. All work is covered under warrenty though, so there is nothing to worry about.
Image
Looks good standard, especially in black and it looks superb with a few minor changes here and there.
Comfort
Standard ride is comfortable and the seats are great and the steering is nice and light when it comes to parking.

Security and Service
Security
Central locking with deadlocks and an optional alarm isn't bad.
Service
A bit on the slow side. Still waiting for a new steering rack ordered in November 2003.
