Economy
Value
My two year old 02-plate cost me five grand at semi-trade price through friends - excellent value for such a modern, high spec car.
Costs
Only insurance group 5 - excellent for a punchy SRi, good fuel economy can be compromised when driven hard. Long service intervals and being a Vauxhall means cheap parts.

On the road
Driving
Excellent grip on the road, corners well, steering light and accurate (although slightly heavy when parking), suspension a bit firm but adds to the sporting fun, smooth feeling 'big car' ride.
Performance
Excellent performance, great around town, fast and torquey on the open roads and great on the motorways - accelerates very quickly in 1st and 2nd and still pulls well when cruising in 5th.

Living with it
Reliability
Ready to go in any weather, starts first time always.
Image
Sleek and Elegant, looks expensive (especially in black). Nice alloys and looks great with a chrome tail pipe. States a sporty case without being too 'in your face'.
Comfort
Supportive sports seats hold well and provide excellent comfort on both long and short journeys although rear leg room can be tight. All equipment is well laid out and easy to use, steering wheel mounted stereo controls are perfect.

Security and Service
Security
Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser as well as deadlocks provide a great amount of reassurance, anti-hijack remote central locking is a great idea. Driver and Passenger airbags, front and rear head restraints and Four-star Euro NCAP rating means very safe too.
