Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I am saving money on fuel that I can spend elsewhere.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Impressed by the economy and insurance.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Would buy this car again, because even if things go wrong, the parts are reasonably cheap and lots of them were sold, so the breakers have the parts.
What are you likely to buy next?
If the same deal came along, definitely another Corsa.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£650
When did you buy the car?
May 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think I did get a good deal, (despite being a yr 2000 model meaning higher tax disc price). It only had 63k on the clock, but the paintwork was dreadfully bleached by the sun and weather. Only had the car a short time, but round town driving I am achieving over 40 to the gallon. Starts first time every time, no black smoke billowing out the back and I'd forgotten just how easy it is to nip round the streets and parking is a breeze with excellent visibility.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Increased fuel economy of a diesel and reduced insurance from previous car.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A nice drive, it will drag itself round corners if you ask it to despite having a 1.7 diesel engine over the front wheels, and very quiet at 60 mph on the duel carriage way, and you think the fuel gauge is fixed on full up because it doesn't move on a run, love it.
What's it like to park?
Parking is a breeze, and being slightly narrower than my last car, loads of room to open the doors in those tight shopping centre car parks.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
As with any older car, I have replaced windscreen wipers, I reckon the washer bottle filter needs cleaning, and could probably do with a new fan belt. The obligatory oil and fuel filter change as a precaution.
What's most practical about your car?
It is nippy in traffic if you need, and very nice on fuel.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sad as it may sound, but going back to a car that has a sunroof as standard, I cannot stand air con as it upsets my throat. So now on a nice day I can open the roof, oh the joy.
