Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2006 - 2014) 1.0i 12V Life 3d Owner Review

Purchased corsa 1.0 new as a budget standby for my ageing astra which was reliable but nearing 100K on the clock. My astra, now approaching 200K, kept going, no issues! So my corsa, owned from new, now at 8 years old, has just 14K on the clock. I recon it must be the lowest mileage 8 year old corsa in the UK! Whats it been like? Well, averaging less than 2000 miles a year its been faultless. Still on the original battery. Starts first time, never let me down. Averages 53mpg. I expect it to get better - after all, its essentially still running in in the low mileage undertaken so far. Its great for pottering about on small local journeys. It will also hold the motorway speed limit (and more) no problem. Just don't expect high acceleration - its a 1.0 litre engine, 1.0tonne car! Anything I don't like? Not really. Cheap to insure. Economical. Reliable. Sails through MOTs. This may be the year I get to put more than 2000 miles on it. Or my astra may keep going to 300K! Recommended. Nice reliable small car!
