Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2006 - 2014) 1.2 Limited Edition 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Wrote a review in 2017 about how I loved the car, sadly, over the past 2 years, that is no longer the case.
Over the time I've had the car, I have had numerous issues and repairs, which I will list below: Electrical issue causing fuel cap to remain locked Constantly reoccurring power steering failure, believe this is due to a power drain issue somewhere (maybe due to bad cabling) that has also caused me to have to buy 2 new batteries Numerous bulbs blowing due to cabling issues Numerous tyre changes (Probably a nitpick, but more common on this model as Limited Edition Corsa's come with low profile tyres) Faulty water pump Timing chain already needed replacing before 50,000 miles, and it had caused some damage to the manifold allegedly
Some of the issues I am not necessarily worried about but it's the sheer amount of repairs needed on a seemingly reliable car that has annoyed me
The one positive is that I bought this car through Marshall's, and their warranty is fantastic In the cases with the electrical issues I have had to pay for diagnostic work but that is only as I couldn't get the car to their garage and most third party garages don't want to run that through warranty All other work (apart from tyres obviously) was done for free through the warranty otherwise I would've severely been out of pocket Interior is also very comfortable but the actual driving experience lacks a lot, the 1.2 is very difficult to get any sort of speed out of unless you're in third and you sit there until you hit high revs
It is a shame as I test drove a few Corsa's while at the dealership and found this one was my favourite, looks like I chose the wrong one out of the lot...
