What does this car say about you?

The Corsa suits me down to the ground. I like its styling and it's extremley comfortable for the price.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends and family are pleased with the car, especially with its cheap maintenance costs.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definitely buy this car again. It has been cheap to maintain and looks good.

What are you likely to buy next?

I am looking to buy a car that is a bit bigger next time, possibly a BMW 3 Series or similar sized saloon.

Did you get a good deal and why?

When buying the car, it was advertised at £5,500 - the very top of my budget was £5,000. however, the car Iwas trading in against the Corsa was another Corsa from '99. This was only worth a couple of hundred pounds, but they managed to up the trade in value to £500! Also, they reduced the price to refurb the alloys on the newer car, as they were scuffed on the front.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I like the styling and the insurance isn't too bad for young drivers.

What was the dealer like?

The first time I visited Arnold Clark the salesman was not very interested at all. They had no vehicles in stock to suit my current situation and price range. He said if they get any, he would ler me know - no reply in weeks. I returned after a number of weeks had passed and spoke to a different man. Once again, they had no cars suitable for myself, but he also promised to call me back when one was available. This time he did. He was very helpful.

What's it like to drive?

To drive, the Corsa handles itself very well. You just have to remember that is is quite a heavy, front wheel drive car, so if you are going too fast into a corner you could understeer. It is very easy to drive around town, and when you take into account the weight of the car, it is actually quite nippy and satisfying. On motorways and high speed A roads the car seems to hold its own very well, feeling very comfortable the whole time.

What's it like to park?

When parking the Corsa, it is a doddle. Visibility is very good thanks to its huge windscreen and chuckable steering.

Have you had any problems with the car?

So far, the car has been very good to me. No major faults that I can recall. The most recent problem wad it leaking oil all over my drive. The problem turned out to be the oil pressure switch, apparently a common fault on this shape Corsa. Luckily, it only cost around £20 to get a new one.

What's most practical about your car?

The most practical thing about the car is definitely the boot. Considering it is only a 3dr supermini, it is huge!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The steering wheel controls for the radio are a great gadget. They make changing the stationbor volume simple, and when driving on busy roads it means you don't have to take your eyes of the road, which is always good.
