Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2006 - 2014) 1.3 CDTi (90bhp) Design 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Avoid the Vauxhall 1.3CDTI Diesels like a plague! I have owed a number of small cars now over the past 10 years and must say the Corsa D has been by far the worse. It's a good car to look at. Once inside the look it there the layout is there too. But once you've driven one for about 6+ months (like me) you start to realise how poorly made this car really is. Very cheap materials. Nothing is screwed together well and on certain parts (like wing mirrors) the adhesive is weaker than the pound shop stuff. Plastics under the bonnet feel like they are going to come off.
But that's not the worst part.....
The Diesel is Fiat engine and oh my god it feels like your driving a car from the 80s or something. Lack of power, very common issues like lumpy acceleration, very poor gear changes. Don't even try to have the glow plugs changed as they commonly get jammed in and need to be removed by an engine specialist. White smoke at start (all the time) - apparently very common with this car too.
The only thing making me keep the car is that it does return about 40mpg (and that I can't afford something else at the moment).
