Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2006 - 2014) 1.3 CDTi (90bhp) Design 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Where do I start? I bought a used Corsa D for my wife which was lovely to drive at first and don't get me wrong the interior is nice and feels like a good cabin to be in. But my God did the problems start. After after a year we had the all sorts of little things that kept needing repair including suspension issues - which didn't bother me too much as the costs weren't that high. But the cheap quality of the build soon showed when during on a busy high street the subframe of the car collapsed (while my wife was driving and 6 year old daughter at the back). Got that fixed. Soon after noises started appearing from engine bay (water pump gone). Got that fixed. Weeks after, one of the injectors was blowing out smoke and making a ticking noise while driving.
Corsa's are ok for a few years when new. But I've realised there's a reason why used ones go for so cheap - they are unsafe and the quality of build is extremely poor. I don't understand why car journalists talk up the Vauxhall's so much. Some truth needs to be told about how poor these cars are.
