Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2006 - 2014) 1.3 CDTi ecoflex Exclusiv (AC) 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This is a second car to get me to work and back and was purchased as a replacement for my ageing 53 plate Skoda Fabia. As a small 5 door diesel car I had narrowed my search down to a Fiesta or Corsa. This was due to prices and cars available at the time. This car won as it had low mileage, air conditioning, one owner, full service history at the right price. 36 MPG is around my usual return regardless of urban or town driving. The drivers seat is comfortable for the first 30 minutes or so. In silver paint each panel looks slightly different shades once used on a road, it polishes up good but after 20 miles absorbs all dirt from atmosphere. If you want a reliable if agricultural engine with truck like noise levels and driving traits then this is the car for you.
How reliable do you find the car?
Since buying the car I noticed a noise like bearing grind when cornering the front wheel bearings were replaced but the noise remained, apparently this is due to the construction of the front suspension. The driver’s seat back springs collapsed, the passenger seat airbag showed a fault as wires had been worn through by sharp seat edges. The only other things are the usual age related change the battery and replace the tyres.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Bit of an agricultural drive that you don’t notice on a short test drive, heavy steering, noisy, you have to work the gears, clunky gearbox and mpg is not as good as I expected. Interior attracts dirt, dust and hair better than any hoover I have owned. Trying to clean seats and door cards is a pain in the backsideAbout their car
