Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (2014 - 2019) 1.4 Limited Edition 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Anyone considering getting a Corsa like this one is in for a good time If you're on a budget. This car by no means is perfect, but is excellent at what it provides for the cost.
Starting with the Cons
.Infotainment system
The infotainment is pretty good, but lacks in certain ways, the touch screen is responsive enough, but often falls short when trying to be precise.
The Satnav feature is diabolical, when I was sold the car I was told that there was an app that connected to a smart phone, almost like a pass through from phone to screen. The app itself cost £100, and definitely wasn't worth it.
DAB radio would stop working on rare occasions, FM Bluetooth, USB and aux still worked but you'd had to turn the engine off let the car reset after 10 seconds and then everything would return to normal. This happened 10 times a year with daily use.
Comfort of ride
If you're planning trips longer than 45 minutes, the ride can become quite uncomfortable. No matter the seating position, I couldn't find a way of not having back pains by the end of trips. This is also true with passenger and especially rear passengers.
The PRO'S
The Drive
Although uncomfortable, this small car is excellent at handling corners at mid to fast speeds. Gears and very smooth and as quick as you need it to be for a Corsa.
Features
The model I purchased came with, cruise control, reversing sensors, touch screen infotainment, tyre pressure monitoring system, steering wheel controls and much more. I think this is common on quite alot of the Limited edition models as standard.
Finish of the car
The look of the car on the exterior is great! It's definitely something that changes with age however, when I turned 25 I knew I had outgrown the styling, but as a younger person I loved the look of this car
Interior is also to a good looking finish with different coloured trims depending on what the exterior colour of your car is.
Space
For a Corsa, you can fit so much stuff inside of it, just fold down the rears seats and you're presented with so much room, even in the 3 door model!
This also goes for visibility in the front, the pillars are small and there's a great viewing angle
Overall pretty happy with my Corsa experience and is definitely worth it for a leaner driver or someone who has just passed their test!
One last note, my Corsa was on a Recall, this was something to do with the tail light, took it to Vauxhall for a day and got it back the same night. I also broke down due to an engine coolant hose being broken. This caused the engine to overheat, luckily I was still in warranty and got it fixed for free, but it's worth asking if you buy one second hand if it has ever happened to that model.
