Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback SE Premium 1.2 (75PS) 5d Owner Review

Myself and my wife have owned many Vauxhall Corsa's and been very, very happy with them. This Corsa is a car of two parts - it is excellent dynamically with amazing fuel consumption - never less than 50 mpg and usually close to 55. Great steering, brakes, handling and lots of useful instrumentation well placed ergonomically . The seating is very comfortable and I find the interior very smart and its a very good looking car overall. Plenty of room and a decent boot . Entry to the rear seats is slightly tighter than desirable but I guess you can't have it all ! Very surprised how quick the car is is - plenty quick enough for all our normal local and motorway driving - when not in a traffic queue ! It is also very quiet when driving on smooth roads .
However - the suspension is very firm causing regular thumps and plenty of road noise on our awful UK roads . This can be quite wearing and irritating. Also the engine rumbles at low revs and its not a pleasant sound - its not particularly noisy - just not a pleasant noise .
I may have to sell it - perhaps I am too sensitive after many very pleasant Corsa's in the past. Anyway - its only my opinion .
I need to remember its really a Peugeot not a Vauxhall.
