they all like it, especially my 13 year old son

Would you buy this car again and why?

yes, it's a really nice little car and smart and there's hardly any of them around, especially in silver lightning - so it has rarity value.

What are you likely to buy next?

hard to say - do I go down the grown up route or stick to hot hatches. what a dilemma. 1 year on - maybe a Volve estate, time to grow up?

Did you get a good deal and why?

yes, good part ex for my astra and should be able to sell on the corsa without much loss in the future. 1year on = doesn't seem so rosy to re-sell now with the financial climate, petrol prices etc, but will always be a top car

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

nearly bought an astra vxr last year but held onto my astra sri for another year, then saw this and got a good financial deal and thought I'd try the corsa and see how it went

What was the dealer like?

evans halshaw in Gateshead. they were willing to make sure I got the deal I wanted.

What's it like to drive?

at low speeds it's just like any other corsa and it's great around the houses. Has plenty of acceleration, especially in second gear - you can leave anything at the lights if you feel like it, well, maybe not an astra vxr but not many of them around. 1 year on - feels even faster now it's loosened up a bit.

What's it like to park?

easy to park but don't want to scuff the alloys so I try to take it very tentatively..1 year on - the alloys remain unblemished apart from unavoidable damage due to POTHOLES.

Have you had any problems with the car?

drivers air vent came off spindle and button on wheel switching between cd and radio not working. taking it in for fix today, under manufacturers warranty. irritating though and the build quality didn't initially seem as good as my 55 astra but I've got used to it by now and it's good too. Had the radiator replaced under warranty and from brakes - which are still the squeakiest I've ever had a nearly new car...

What's most practical about your car?

well, it's a small car so I didn't expect loads. It has no spare tyre, just an inflation kit which I hope never to have to use. has a daft split level boot - not necessary..plan to go camping in the summer, could be fun! 1 year on = went camping, it was no problem. Two adults and one 13yo. all the equipment, don't worry about it!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

when you press the button to unlock the car, you can set the interior and exterior lights to come on. Great feature. Also, the wipers never stop half way across the windscreen. All good.
