Vauxhall Corsa VXR (2007 - 2014) 1.6T VXR 3d Owner Review

In their own words
In just over a year I have nearly spent the £7000 I paid for the car in repairs, £2500 for a new Gearbox, clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder, I had both front suspension top mounts replaced, both rear shock absorbers replaced, handbrake ceased up and both callipers had to be stripped and greased, head gasket is leaking engine oil and coolant both in the cylinder and into the cooling channels- filling the coolant reservoir with engine oil and causing the car to get hot very quickly- radiator fans cut in constantly, the cam cover gasket is also leaking oil, had the coil pack replaced, air mass meter replaced, currently having boost problems with the turbo- think the recirculation valve is broken, Recaro seats have unclipped around the edges and the leather won’t clip back in, chrome foil coating on the bottom of the steering wheel had peeled back and subsequently sliced my fingers open while I was driving, think thats most of it. Fun, fast little car but not worth the hassle or repair cost in any way, really not a long lasting or reliable car, after around 50k miles they seem to fall part as have both of mine. I wouldn’t recommend buying a second hand Corsa VXR.
