Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 35 - 38 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

As a new buy, the Corsa VRX looks a little expensive compared to similar rivals like the Renaultsport Clio. However, it won’t break the bank when it comes to running costs. It can average a respectable 36mpg (although hard driving will soon see this figure drop) while servicing intervals of 20,000 miles are impressively long for a hot hatch.
The sporty Corsa is not particularly environmentally friendly, as you’d expect from a hot hatch. It emits 190g/km of CO2 but economy is a little more acceptable, averaging 36mpg.
It feels solidly built, and other recent Vauxhall products seem to be performing reliably enough, so we see no reason to expect any problems with the VXR.
