Vauxhall Frontera 2.0i Sport 3d (2001/X) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A lot of 4x4 for your money.
Costs
Petrol seems to drain through 4x4s, and was the same for this.
-
On the road
Driving
Nice drive. A little bumpy on motorways, but high up enough to see everything.
Performance
Average 4x4 performance. Handy in the two days that we have snow, but could still pull up the motorway fully loaded.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Had to replace the gearbox at 57,000 which I was not happy about. Services were cheap enough.
Image
Personally, I think this is one of the sexiest SUVs in the UK. Still makes me drool now.
Comfort
Fairly comfy ride. Some back seat passengers moaned about roll and bounce, but it's not a Porsche, and this was expected.

Security and Service
Security
Factory fitted alarm and immobiliser was good enough, but would have preferred a remote control, as 15 seconds ain't nearly enough time to get the shopping in the back before it goes off.

Had a slightly leaky roof panel, which seemed to store water and dump it intermittently.
