Summary
What does this car say about you?
Aspires to a 4*4 but has a limited budget.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think I should buy a newer car as this one has some bodywork rust spots.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Reliable, comfortable and flexible vehicle. Good high driving position.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not considering it at moment but probably a newer Frontera or a Omega

Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,500
When did you buy the car?
October 2002

The wife wanted it.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Comfortable drive does what it says on the tin. Reasonable speed but designed more for pulling at lower speeds. Recovered my wife's 2.5l V6 carlton from a ditch with no problems.
What's it like to park?
Easy to park with power steering but the spare wheel has to be accounted for in overall length.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes - engine management light came on which Vauxhall wanted £45 to connect laptop and then £140 to replace airflow switch. A local garage replaced the switch for £17.50 including the parts.
What's most practical about your car?
The fold down seats and rear entry give a very large load space. I have moved large lumps of furniture and loads of stuff to the tip.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Tailgate top, release button by the steering wheel handy for throwing shopping in the back.
