Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport (2017 - 2022) SRi Nav 1.6 (136PS) Turbo D Ecotec 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I think Vauxhall missed a trick or two with the grand sport especially the Sri variant yes we know its a sports version but several little touches let it down somewhat, for example the front passenger seat is non adjustable in terms of height and lumber support. The seat belts could have done to be height adjustable, passengers in the front are nearly choking by the belt coming down over the throat area if they are short in stature. the stop/start can be a little annoying at times but there is the option to turn it off. gear box seems a little noisier when changing up than in the previous models. The 1.6 diesel 130ps has plenty of poke and although not quite the acceleration off the mark of its bigger brother the 2 litre it quickly gets into its stride.
Some stupid ideas by GM are a little annoying for example, their persistence with having to remove the rear light cluster to change a bulb, they got it spot on with the Vectra , the small hardly useable glovebox.
The Infotainment Unit is quite good and i found the DAB radio more than adequete, Cannot see the point of Android Play when you can have your own music through the USB feed in the rear storage box,, the Sat Nav is reasonable and the bluetooth is exactly whats its there for.
Overall I find the car very comfortable to drive easy to handle BUT would like to compare it with a higher spec model to really criticise.
