Im a salesman who put unnecessary gadgets in his cars.

Geberally like the leather interior and ride.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Depend what I can get next. Overall the Insignia is a very capable comfortable place to be but cant help feeling Vauxhall have developed a lot of these gadgets in a hurry to keep up with Ford and they ard not as useful or intuitive as they might be.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Sits well on motorways but still a bit of a cruise liner to turn in Tesco car park. A few gripes though: I had tge little tracking pad thing fitted for the sat nav. Save your cash it is a clunky pointless thing you ca live without with the touch screen, personal view is that the old sat nav in the previous model is a lot more intuitive. Finally, the auto headlights are slow and dim witted. Have them on and you will get a face full of headlihhts from irritated drivers.
What's it like to park?
With all the sensors and aids its fine. Beware the advanced park assist though. I added it to the options and it is supposed to find you a parking spot in the street. After 12000 miles I have never used it. I drive from home to work car park to supermarket. Seldom park in street and when I do camera and sensors sort me out. Save your cash.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Tyre pressure sensor keeps going off. The computer system feels a bit fragile. I have had incidents where it couldnt be unlocked, the wipers wouldnt come on and the infotainment wouldnt work. All temporary but leads me to believe a stay on a hard shoulder may happen I next 4 years.
What's most practical about your car?
Cavernous boot and it munches motorway miles in comfort.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Reversing camera is invaluable with all the sensors. I had an 11 plate Insignia without either where you stoped reversing when you encountered resistance. This is loads better. Also gad the optional steering wheel warmer, ok its a gimmick but good on cold mornings. Finally the premium Bose stereo is worth the cash.
