Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer (2009 - 2017) 2.0 CDTi (170bhp) ecoFLEX Design Nav (Start Stop) 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Bought the estate and the 170 bhp engine as I tow a heavy caravan. Lovely to drive. Nice and smooth. A little ECU work got the bhp well over 200 and transformed the car. It is now seriously quick and a ‘sleeper’. Many a BMW owner has been left frustrated which in a childish way is quite fun! Servicing on the 170 model is a bit more expensive as the parts availability is pretty much restricted to GM parts only. Still eminently acceptable at a private garage. Build quality pretty good and a comfortable ride ( more so than the wife’s Volvo) This car gets used quite hard and has stood up Pretty well. Just reaching 80k ( had under 40k when I bought it) and is on the verge of a new clutch). Paige £8k for it under three years old and it has sailed every MOT. Mine was a bit of a mush mash with high spec engine but steel wheels etc Had the windows tinted slightly and a tow bar fitted ( get the GM one with the extra little box of electrickery that checks the lights on the caravan/trailer) Real world MPG including towing abusing etc over 40k miles is 45mpg Steady motorway work will top 50 easily so commuting is viable. Would buy another one tomorrow.
How reliable do you find the car?
Minor routine stuff. Wheel bearing brake calliperDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
