Summary
What does this car say about you?
It does everything I want, fast, roomy, as an estate it can take larger loads and in a diesel, it is very frugal. Still running in and I get 600 miles to the tank.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Its an attractive car. It does look a bit A4-esque. As a previous A4 owner, i agree. Indeed vauxhall have made huge leaps in build, material and overal quality of their cars.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It does everything very well. I used to put my head down when I said I owned a Vauxhall - having used this one, I'm happy to be seen in it!
What are you likely to buy next?
I usually get itchy feet after a few months but I can say that it will be with me for many moons to come.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£17,500
When did you buy the car?
July 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - willing to negotiate and we found a car that was registerd in Nov 2009 with 37 miles on the clock. It had been a Vauxhall management car, but just hadn't been used. The car had many extras on it such as bluetooth, 19" wheels and metallic paint.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed to change
What was the dealer like?
Very good. They really worked hard to get the deal.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Steering is light and I like the handling. I've seen some reviews saying that the tourer doesn't handle properly on bigger tyres, but I don't agree. We've been on a few long journeys and as a driver, I'm not overley tired or uncomfortable and the passengers complement the ride quality.
What's it like to park?
It has no parking sensors so I'm having to adjust to doing this bit for myself again! However, the steering is light, the car very manoeuverable and you can spot the corners making parking an easy experience.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Space - I have a growing family and they all fit comfortably in the car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The sat nav is a huge boost and much better than the version that was fitted to my last car. It gives you updates on road conditions (even without it being part of a route plan) so you can make adjustments as you go.
