Vauxhall Meriva (2010 - 2017) 1.4T 16V SE 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Car was supplied with 245/45x17 alloy wheels, These gave it a hard ride and very twitchy steering, causing it to tramline and requiring constant corrections. I have now fitted it with Vauxhall 195/65 15 black steel wheels (as fitted as original equipment to the base model) and Michelin Cross Climate + tyres.
The ride is now better and the steering is vastly improved -- it now goes in a straight line without constant corrections. There is now much less risk of damage to the wheels from potholes, slower tyre wear, and less noise. After running an Audi Quattro 210bhp auto for four years I am finding this 'Lowly' Meriva to be quiet, well built, comfortable, economical and pleasant to drive (although not very fast!)
