Vauxhall Nova Hatchback 1.2 Merit 5d (1991/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Paid 1200 quid for it - well worth the money.
Costs
Had it four years - only spent £100 on it. First MOT, was stung a massive £3.29 for back wiper blade. That was all they could find to fix!

On the road
Driving
Great fun to drive.
Performance
Hates winter, although quite happy in more tropical climates. Slow if any more than two in the car.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Never failed me - although reminded mother it needs petrol in it to make it go...
Image
I love the Nova - especially cute with cow print seats. Everyone's first car!
Comfort
Ass-numbing on long journeys.

Security and Service
Security
What security? Was stolen and used in a smash and grab... see performance! Also had radio nicked. Had a friend with one that ended up on the farmer's field more times than his cows did. In the end they stopped stealing the car and just took the battery!
Service
Always took it to a friend.
